Ann-Marie opens Maplewood Music

Maplewood Music is officially open!

I've opened a physical studio in the heart of Malden's Maplewood Square, where I'll be teaching private lessons and offering assistance to musicians in all stages of their musical lives. (And if you're farther away, virtual and hybrid lesson options are still available!)

Many of you were part of my teaching journey years ago, and I've deeply missed my students since having to step away. As some of you know, I eventually had to leave full-time teaching and performing due to my health. The long days spent traveling between schools and students' homes became unsustainable while managing endometriosis and chronic pain, and I knew I needed to rethink what my career in music could look like for myself, where I could bring my best teaching to each student.

Over the past few years, I've worked in public relations and social media, representing many incredible classical musicians and arts organizations. While that experience gave me invaluable skills and perspective, it also reaffirmed what I missed most: teaching, mentoring, and creating meaningful musical experiences in the community… which has led to Maplewood Music! My vision extends beyond private lessons, it's a place where musicians can learn, collaborate, grow, and find community.
